Darwin Perennials Is Stronger Than Ever

This year Darwin Perennials is bringing more innovations to our product assortments than ever before. We're coming off a strong Darwin Perennials Day event in June, with the overwintered plants in the zone 5 trials looking amazing. With durable and hardy plants like these, it’s easy to see why Darwin Perennials is award-winning and at the top of its field!

This is a great opportunity to come out to The Gardens at Ball and continue learning about perennials. In a fast-paced industry that is always growing, we make it easy to be successful in the garden center. There are many ways to be successful with perennials through Ball Seed. From multiple liner sizes through tech support, we have your perennial needs covered! Later in the summer, during Ball Seed Customer Days, you'll be able to see a whole new flush of color in the perennials gardens that will make everyone stop to take photos.

Be sure to watch for the following plants blooming this summer in The Gardens at Ball.

Veronica Skyward have sturdy stems and can add a pop of color to gardens. These plants are durable and supremely dense, which helps the plant show off its blooms. The hardiness of this plant is impeccable! We've got new pink and blue varieties for 2023.

Step deeper back into the shaded part of our perennial beds to see the innovative 'Golden Feathers' Polemonium. Very versatile, this Jacob's Ladder has exciting, variegated foliage and will be an extra-special accent plant for rock gardens and mixed containers.

The Echinacea Sombrero Poco series expands in 2023 with three new colors: Hot Pink, White, and Red. Our breeders worked very hard on this series of Echinacea, and you won’t be able to miss the plants’vibrant colors, and you'll find its compact habit very versatile for today's garden design.
