Welcome to the Ball ColorLink cut flower series. Today we'll be discussing cut flower callas. Calla bulbs are harvested in late summer. After the dug, they are allowed to dry so the skin thickens, much like a potato would do. The bulbs are then treated with gibberellic acid to increase the stem count. When you buy new bulbs from a bulb supplier, they will be treated before they are shipped to you.
