Grow a Better Liner Resource Available Online
Just in time for spring 2026 production, the Ball FloraPlant® territory managers and Ball Seed® Technical Services have teamed up to update the useful greenhouse resource “Grow a Better Liner.” This guide has been a staple for the vegetative annuals growers that advance the labor scheduling, crop timing, and best-management practices of their greenhouses.
“Grow a Better Liner” is all about how you can grow the BEST liner every time you stick a cutting.
“Vegetative propagation is one of the most challenging phases of plant production — and it takes a level of detail and consistent focus for any grower,” the resource begins. “Our hope is that this supplement can help both large and small growers propagate more effectively to ensure the success of vegetative crops.”
“Grow a Better Liner” is divided chronologically into the four phases of propagation:
• Planning, preparing and receiving cuttings
• Media choice, tray manufacturing and proper fill
• Stages 1 & 2: From unrooted to rooted cuttings
• Stages 3 & 4: Building, bulking, toning and pinching
The guide includes charts and illustrations to graphically support vegetative growers throughout the production cycle. It includes Recommended URC storage temperatures for products requiring cool-temp storage, medium-temp storage, as well as cold-sensitive storage.
In addition, the guide emphasizes a sticking priority list to help group cuttings for success. It also highlights sanitation checklists and identifies common obstacles for awareness and team communication.
View and download this online resource anytime through Ball Seed or at the Ball FloraPlant website (www.ballfloraplant.com). Printed copies are not available at this time, but stay tuned for future opportunities to request the guide through your Ball Seed sales representative.
