Vigorous-growing plant with massive, deep brown-black foliage. A cross with ‘Brownies’, so has plenty of H. villosa genes to give it size and strength. Cream flowers. Bred to combine strength and color by crossing more robust species such as villosa hybrids, Beat the Heat is the best of the best. These unique Heuchera varieties exhibit a broad range of foliage colors to enhance and bring contrast to the garden. They stand up to heat and humidity much better than their garden predecessors.
