Our Zone 5 overwintered trials in West Chicago, Ill., are bursting with perennials, and we can’t wait for you to see them! Let’s take a closer look at a few new product highlights from Darwin Perennials for the 2022 season. This year's launch is full of gorgeous perennials including flowering plants and greenery: Artemisia gmelinii SunFern , Buddleia davidii Chrysalis, Lysimachia alfredii 'Night Light', and Lysimachia congestiflora 'Firefly' are all incredible must-sees.

Artemisia SunFern™ is a unique herbaceous perennial that works as a companion plant in containers or as an accent plant in the landscape. There are two varieties (Arcadia and Olympia) and both are low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, and thrive in sunny locations. This foliage texture is sure to appeal to today’s plant shopper.

The compact Buddleia Chrysalis™ series has been bred and selected for its profusion of flowers that attract butterflies. This plant is tolerant of rain and has a high drought tolerance once established. For its launch in 2022, five colors will be available: White, Blue, Purple, Cranberry and Pink.

Lysimachia alfredii 'Night Light' provides a colorful mound of attractive foliage and bright yellow flowers while the foliage turns burgundy in the shade. Lysimachia congestiflora 'Firefly' also features burgundy foliage and bright yellow flowers. Both plants prefer the shade and make a beautiful feature in a mix.
